The PCIe 4.0 x4 to x16 flexible riser cable extends a motherboard PCI Express x4 connection to a full-length PCIe x16 female slot. It provides a flexible installation solution for graphics cards and other PCIe expansion cards in compact computers, workstations, servers, test platforms and custom equipment.
The x16 female connector accommodates full-length PCIe expansion cards, while the electrical connection operates at a maximum of four PCIe lanes. When connected to a PCIe 4.0 compatible motherboard and expansion card, the cable supports a signaling rate of up to 16 GT/s per lane.

The PCIe x4 male connector can be installed in a motherboard PCIe x4, x8 or x16 slot. The x16 female connector can physically accommodate PCIe x1, x4, x8 and x16 expansion cards.
An x8 or x16 card installed through this cable will operate with a maximum electrical link width of PCIe x4. Actual PCIe generation and link speed depend on the motherboard, processor, BIOS settings, expansion card and complete system configuration.

Power off the system before installation. Insert the PCIe x4 male connector completely into the motherboard slot and secure the x16 female connector before installing the expansion card.
This riser cable does not include a separate auxiliary power input. If the graphics card requires a 6-pin, 8-pin or 12V-2×6 power connection, connect the required power cable directly from the power supply to the graphics card.
Avoid sharply folding, pulling or repeatedly twisting the flexible cable. For stable PCIe 4.0 operation, keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic interference sources and confirm that the motherboard and installed device both support the required link speed.
