This PCIe 5.0 x4 to M.2 adapter card allows one M.2 M-Key NVMe SSD to be installed in an available PCI Express expansion slot. It uses four PCIe lanes and supports a theoretical raw bandwidth of up to 128 Gbps when connected to a compatible PCIe 5.0 motherboard and Gen5 NVMe SSD.
The adapter supports M.2 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 SSD form factors. Multiple mounting positions are provided on the PCB for securing different SSD lengths. The marked segmentation points allow the extended PCB section to be shortened according to the installed SSD size.

Compatibility
This adapter is designed for M.2 M-Key PCIe NVMe SSDs. It does not support M.2 SATA SSDs.
The final operating speed depends on the PCIe generation and lane configuration supported by the motherboard, processor and installed SSD. For PCIe 5.0 performance, the motherboard slot and NVMe SSD must both support PCIe 5.0 x4.
The adapter itself does not require a dedicated driver. The computer operating system must provide native NVMe support. Using the installed NVMe SSD as a system boot drive requires NVMe boot support in the motherboard BIOS or UEFI.
